Rather than a literal adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy, the film is more of a dark psychological thriller in the German tradition. Cavernous chambers and stony battlements cast shadows of impending doom upon Othello (Emil Jannings) and Desdemona as the Mephistophelean Iago dances about them, methodically destroying thieir happiness and steering them toward their bitter fate with impish delight. An ambitious silent version of Shakespeare's tragedy by Russian expatriate Dimitri Buchowetzki. Four silent Shakespearean shorts: Duel Scene from Macbeth (1905), The Taming of the Shrew (1908), Romeo Turns Bandit (1910) and Desdemona (1911); Essay by Douglas Brode.

Wow! I really loved the movie Playboy - Joanie Laurer Nude - Wrestling Superstar. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Jennifer Saunders deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Joanna Lumley was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley worked wonderful in Playboy - Joanie Laurer Nude - Wrestling Superstar. The great supporting cast includes Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks, June Whitfield.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!
